Meet Migdalia: Nutrition and dietetics (M.S.'23)

Migdalia Martinez

I joined nutrition and dietetics because I love food. But I also wanted to learn if there was something else that I could do with my passion for food. And that passion can lead me to helping children and patients who have health diseases in underserved communities.

I completed my master's within nutrition and dietetics because I wanted to advance within the field. There's always new, inviting and exciting information to be learned within nutrition and dietetics, and I really wanted to take advantage of everything that Western had to offer for this degree.

You should really consider doing a program at Western, specifically within nutrition and dietetics, because it was such an amazing and fulfilling experience to work with all of the different disciplines that we can, but also be engulfed within a program that offers a lot of compassion. It's a lot of diversity, and you learn so much about the field in and of itself here.
