Subcommittee Expectations
The subcommittee should consider completing the following work: 1) further refine or define a draft charge, scope and objectives, 2) brainstorm the types of data, information, and/or expertise the subcommittee may require to complete its work, 3) track any open or remaining questions that the subcommittee has, and 4) determine the availability of members for summer work.
Initial Subcommittees
Student Leadership
- Maintain student participation over the semesters of the committees work.
- Assess and convey student-body and student leadership priorities and idea.
Greenhouse Gas Inventory

Investigate progress toward existing climate commitments through consolidation of greenhouse gas reporting data.

Make recommendations for appropriate baseline comparisons and improved data collection.

Identify experts and/or additional organizations or mechanisms to advance future data collection, analysis, and reporting.
Strategic and Targeted Campus Actions

Identifying targeted actions to increase both mitigation and resiliency in the following campus sectors: buildings/facilities, fleet, solid waste, wastewater, etc.

Identify behavioral modifications (or educational opportunities) by students, faculty and staff to increase both mitigation and resiliency.

Determine the feasibility of an accelerated carbon neutrality goal.
Financing, Grants, and Funding

Identify opportunities for greenhouse gas mitigation within the strategic resource management budget model.

Explore external funding opportunities through local/state/federal government, foundations, and/or donors.
Communications and Campus Outreach

Identify ways to increase the visibility of previous, current and future actions, for example, a building dashboard project, student video series, or other means.
