First Year Seminar leadership section
The First Year Seminar leadership sections, FYE 2100, will have a particular emphasis on enhancing the college experience through leadership development and the important role that leadership plays in the college experience. These sections are designed to meet the needs of students at all levels of their leadership development. Additionally, this course is designed for both students who were active as student leaders in high school, as well as those who are looking to begin developing their leadership skills.
This course will help students understand the importance of co-curricular involvement, various approaches, philosophies, and theories of leadership. Students will participate in leadership skill-building activities and will have opportunities to build friendships and connections with other student leaders.
This course will also help students to explore how leadership development impacts the overall development of the college student. These sections will be co-facilitated by a member of the Office of Student Engagement staff and a current 澳门六合彩官网直播 student leader. Current students interested in being a co-facilitator will need to apply for a position through the First Year Experience Program Office.
Students can register for one of these sections during New Student Orientation when they meet with their academic advisor.
