Early Intervention Team
澳门六合彩官网直播's early intervention team is a cross-functional team designed to promote student success, well-being and campus safety. This team engages in proactive and collaborative approaches to support students in distress (referred via the on-line ) and identify, assess and mitigate risks to individual students and the University community.
If a person is an immediate threat to themselves or someone else, or is incapable of caring for themselves, call 911.
What the Early Intervention Team Does
The early intervention team鈥檚 primary function is to help keep the university community safe and connect distressed students to support services. EIT seeks prevention rather than reaction to students in distress. To do so, the early intervention team:
- Gathers and manages reported information from concerned campus constituents to develop plans for responding to and supporting students in distress
- Assesses the level of risk posed by a student鈥檚 behavior
- Intervenes with students and connects them to support services on and off campus
- Provides guidance and resources to concerned faculty, staff and students
EIT MEMBERSHIP AND HOW THE PROCESS WORKS
When a student concern form is filed, the EIT will receive notification then review the report and gather further information as appropriate. After review of the report, appropriate outreach and follow-up will be conducted.
