Land Use Restrictions and Application for Use

As directed by 澳门六合彩官网直播, the preserve is open to the public for passive recreation and is used by
澳门六合彩官网直播 and other educational institutions for research and education. Passive recreation
activities are defined as those which create opportunities for a high degree of interaction with
the natural environment. Appropriate activities include, hiking, wildlife watching and running.

In order to promote the ecosystem integrity and natural aesthetics of the preserve use
restrictions have been established. The following list should serve as a guide:

  • No building or structures
  • No digging
  • No cutting of plants or trees, whether living or dead
  • No raking
  • No foraging
  • Do not move logs
  • Do not leave human made objects

In general, attempt to leave the preserve as you found it in order to sustain it for generations to
come. This can be accomplished by being aware of how you are interacting with the
environment and making conscious decisions that serve to lessen the impact on nature. You
can do that by following the Seven Principals established by Leave no Trace.

  • Plan ahead and Prepare
  • Travel on Durable Surfaces
  • Dispose of Waste Properly
  • Leave What You Find
  • Minimize Campfire Impacts
  • Respect Wildlife
  • Be Considerate of Other Visitors
