ANTH 4970 (Summer II 2020):
The Ethnoarchaeology of COVID-19: A Viral Snapshot
A collaborative effort involving the following individuals: Michael S. Nassaney, Courtney Bedrosian, Ariel Butler, Zachary Fagerlin, Payton Gagliardi, Joanne Jeya, Sarah Linkous, and Nikolajs Pone
When the 45th annual °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍøÖ±²¥ archaeological field school was canceled this past summer due to COVID-19, °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍøÖ±²¥ and Prof. Nassaney decided to provide students with an alternate ethnoarchaeological experience studying the pandemic. Using a rapid ethnographic approach, students collected data about peoples’ responses to the virus and presented their viral snapshots in a series of research posters. See what they learned here.
