Dr. Israel R. Orimoloye, a faculty lecturer at 澳门六合彩官网直播's School of Environment, Geography, and Sustainability, boasts an extensive background in academia and research. As a proud member of Sigma Xi: The Scientific Research Honor Society, Dr. Orimoloye brings over a decade of expertise to his role, specializing in remote sensing, GIS applications, environmental and disaster risk management, and climate science. His research focuses on utilizing cutting-edge Earth Observation (EO) information and climate data to monitor and comprehend diverse aspects of drought and desertification, climate change, hazards, and land-use systems. Dr. Orimoloye's commitment to advancing spatial science knowledge and skills transfer is evident in his collaborations with spatial scientists from the United States, South Africa, Canada and India. Through these collaborations, he actively contributes to global policy formulation and decision-making.  As a registered and professional environmental scientist (SACNASP), Dr. Orimoloye's influence extends to his role as a principal investigator in various projects, including drought disaster risk assessment in the Free State Province, South Africa, and ecological and environmental degradation assessments funded by the Central Research Fund. With a publication record of over 65 scientific articles and book chapters in high-impact ISI and Scopus journals, Dr. Orimoloye is a revered reviewer for both local and international journals and project funders. His proficiency in environmental and climate tools, showcased in his publications, underscores his dedication to advancing scientific knowledge and contributing to impactful research in his field.
