Graduate Program Admission
We offer easy onboarding so you can get started on your master鈥檚 degree immediately. Admission decisions are based on your record of achievement and personal goals. There are no standardized test scores (e.g. GRE required). We accept both part-time and full-time graduate students on a rolling basis, year-round.
REQUIREMENTS
Admission requirements are:
- Complete the University application and satisfy university admission requirements.
- Completed a bachelor鈥檚 degree with at least a 3.0 grade point average in your last two years of course work.
- Undergraduate transcripts, graduate transcripts where applicable
- A resume or curriculum vitae (CV), and
- A written statement of academic and personal interest (500-1500 words)
Graduate test scores (GRE) are NOT required
INSTRUCTIONS TO APPLY
Applications must include:
- Completed online application
- An official transcript from the institution from which you received your bachelor鈥檚 degree is required, as well as a transcript from the institution(s) where any additional graduate level courses or degrees have been taken/completed.
- A resume or curriculum vitae (CV), and
- A written statement of academic and personal interest (500-1500 words)
Applicants are NOT required to submit an official transcript of courses taken/completed at 澳门六合彩官网直播.
Graduate test scores (GRE) are NOT required.
Application fees cannot be waived.
Application deadlines
The School of Communication accepts applications for September and January admission on a rolling basis until all available slots are filled.
The early application deadline for early admission is due Feb. 1. Students who wish to be considered for graduate assistantships are advised to submit their application by Feb. 1.

Can application fees be waived?
No. Please do not request a fee waiver.
What application materials are required?
Starting in Fall 2023, when you apply via our online system, you will be asked to include a resume or curriculum vita (CV), a bachelor鈥檚 degree transcript, and a personal statement
Can I start my program in any semester of the academic year?
Applications are accepted for September and January admission on a rolling basis (year-round) until all available slots are filled.
If I do not have an undergraduate degree in communication, am I eligible to apply to the graduate program in communication?
Yes.
Do I have to be a full-time student?
No. Part-time students generally enroll in three to six hours of coursework each semester whereas full-time students enroll in six or more hours of coursework per semester.
How many credit hours do I need to complete the graduate program in communication?
30 credit hours including the capstone experience.
What is a capstone?
A capstone is a comprehensive project that allows students to demonstrate the knowledge and skills they have acquired throughout their time in the program. We offer multiple capstone experience options.
What kind of financial support is available for graduate students?
There are a limited number of teaching assistantships available each year. See our funding options for more information.

What is the Accelerated M.A. (also known as the Accelerated Graduate Degree Program (AGDP))?
The AGDP, also known as a bachelor鈥檚/master鈥檚 (4+1), gives students a professional advantage because they earn a bachelor鈥檚 degree and a master鈥檚 degree in 5 years. Undergraduate seniors start their graduate program during their senior year. They can take up to 12 credit hours of graduate courses that will be counted towards their undergraduate degree as well as graduate degree. See our Accelerated Degree offerings for more information.
