Sales Sommelier

Central Region Field Trainer, Sales,

With a profession that often describes its product as lively, naturally complex, and rich, Megan Barr’s career at E. & J. Gallo Winery is no different. Starting her career as a field sales representative at the company, she began to stir things up by hitting over 100% of her quotas—quickly being promoted to retail sales representative and relocating to New Jersey.

From there, Barr finished second out of 67 other representatives in her yearly goal attainment. She was recognized with another promotion—this time to retail district manager where she finessed more than $14 million in sales over 200 stores across the state while leading a team of six representatives. These efforts brought Barr to her current role as central region field trainer for sales in four states: Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Ohio.

She has set the bar high in her career. Now responsible for training and developing all sales representatives and district managers in both retail and on-premise sites in her region, Barr continues to find opportunities to educate others—including teaching professional selling classes to E. & J. Gallo’s salesforce as a One Degree-certified salesperson and fitness classes in her free time. With all her accomplishments to date, ϲʹֱ Haworth toasts Barr’s success and looks forward to what comes next.

Hobbies:

“While I attended Western, I taught aerobics, cycle and yoga classes at the Student Recreation Center. Now in my free time, I teach reformer Pilates and hot power yoga classes. Teaching classes for four years at ϲʹֱ and five years post-graduation, I have always felt a sense of community. In return, teaching classes helps me manage stress!”
