LWI Faculty Thought Leaders

Posted by Asif Masum on October 21, 2024

For 35 years, the Lewis Walker Institute (LWI) has advanced discussions on race and ethnic relations through innovative programming and community engagement. LWI seeks trusted and courageous individuals for the LWI Faculty Thought Leaders project, a transdisciplinary community of scholars focused on race, equity, social justice, and ethnicity. This group will help shape the LWI programmatic agenda and explore collaborative research opportunities on pressing local and global issues. LWI will provide support through:

a) professional resources,
b) national grant opportunities,
c) partial sponsorship for the National Conference on Race and Ethnicity in Higher Education,
d) research analytic support.

Monthly meetings will start in January 2025, with a reception for new inductees in December 2024. If your work aligns with these themes, consider applying. For more details, contact bianca.nightengale-lee@wmich.edu or attend the info sessions on Wed 10/30 (10:30-11:30) or Wed 11/6 (4:30-5:30).
