  • Dr. O'Connor joins °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍøÖ±²¥, after serving multiple administrative and teaching roles in San Diego, California. Her most recent role was Director of Literacies, Educational Technology, and Innovation in Educational Services in the National School District, a PreK-6 Elementary district. Prior to her director role she served in multiple roles Vista Unified, a PreK-12 unified district. She had the pleasure of serving as an Early Literacy Coordinator in Curriculum and Instruction, a Content Support Resource Teacher, a Literacy Coach, and a Classroom elementary teacher. As a classroom teacher she also supervised student teachers, mentored beginning teachers and all 3-5 teachers as a District Language Arts Mentor Teacher, and regularly facilitated literacy professional development sessions for in-service teachers across the district.
  • Dr. O'Connor also serves as an Adjunct Professor for literacy courses at California State University San Marcos, Concordia University Irvine, and the University of California San Diego.
  • Dr. O'Connor is married and has three adult daughters, four grandchildren, and a two-acre hobby farm in the East county of San Diego. Her farm includes one Chihuahua, four Labs, three goats, 11 chickens, one rooster, three pigs, and two cats. She loves to spend time with her family and animals. She also enjoys gardening, boating, camping, the beach, digital scrapbooking, and reading for pleasure.
