Bio:

Kwangmin Lee is an Assistant Professor of Literacy Studies. Dr. Lee obtained a Ph.D. in Foreign Language and English as a Second Language Education from the University of Iowa in 2023. He earned two master’s degrees, one in Applied Linguistics and TESOL from Teachers College, Columbia University (2018) and the other in Educational Measurement and Statistics (2021) from the University of Iowa. Before pursuing his graduate degrees in the United States, he had completed his undergraduate in (English) theoretical linguistics at Kyung-hee University in Seoul, S. Korea (2015). 

Dr. Lee’s scholarly interests center primarily on language testing and assessment, with a particular focus on quantitative approaches to collecting and analyzing second/foreign language learners’ reading/writing data. He is also interested in research methods in TESOL research. His publications appeared in such international journals as Language Testing, Assessing Writing, System, and Research Methods in Applied Linguistics.
