Theme: Using Nature in Occupation-Centered Practice

The Department of Occupational Therapy will offer clinicians a certificate for six hours of professional development units toward recertification for National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy. 

Keynote Speaker: Wendy Wood, PhD, OTR/L, FAOTA
"Nature-enriched Occupational Therapy, Imagine!"
Dr. Wendy Wood is a professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy at Colorado State University, where she also holds a joint appointment in the College of Agricultural Sciences as the director of research of the Temple Grandin Equine Center (TGEC). 

Plenary speaker: Barbara Hooper, PHD, OTR/L, FAOTA
"A Model for Considering the Nature of Occupation-Centered Practice and Education鈥
Dr. Barbara Hooper is an associate professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy and founding director of the Center for Occupational Therapy Education (COTE) at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado.
