Carrier Information
In addition to USPS, mail services processes UPS, FedEx and IMS (International Mail Services) for the University community.
UPS
To send outgoing mail using UPS, mail services must receive a completed fund and cost center card (Department Charge for U.S. Postage and Special Services), with the following information:
- Preferred UPS delivery option (i.e. Ground, Next Day, 2nd Day, 3rd Day)
- Insurance selection
- Tracking number required for your records (information can be sent via campus mail or email, if an email address is provided)
To complete any mailing, the complete address must be filled out on the mail piece.
FedEx
To send outgoing mail using FedEx, mail services must receive a completed fund and cost center card (Department Charge for U.S. Postage and Special Services), with the following information:
- Preferred FedEx delivery option (i.e. Ground, Priority Overnight, 2nd Day Air, Express Saver)
- Insurance selection
- Tracking number required for your records (information can be sent via campus mail or email, if an email address is provided)
To complete any mailing, the complete address must be filled out on the mail piece.
ims
To send outgoing mail using IMS, mail services must receive the following:
- Completed fund and cost center card (Department Charge for U.S. Postage and Special Services)
- Complete address filled out on mail piece, with the country name in CAPITAL LETTERS
- For large envelopes or boxes, fill out the customs forms () or indicate on the fund and cost center card the contents and value.
No tracking number is available through IMS. If you need a tracking number, mail services can ship via UPS, FedEx or USPS. Contact mail services for additional information.
