General summary

Provides strategy and directs the development and maintenance of donor relations programs, emphasizing donor stewardship through the creation of yearly endowment reports and collaboration with campus partners.

Major duties

  • Collaborates with major gift officers to develop and distribute stewardship reports.
  • Leads stewardship of the University鈥檚 most generous donors to proactively develop strategies that will grow engagement with the University.
  • Maintains relationships with donors and campus partners by drafting reports, correspondence, and other written materials. Participates in events, as well as in-person and virtual meetings.
  • Responsible for the endowment reporting process through collaborating with campus partners to create and distribute yearly endowment reports.
  • Trains campus partners in best practices for stewarding relationships with donors.

Minimum qualifications

Required education

  • Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution.

Required experience

  • Two years' relevant experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with office software, including word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software.
  • Familiarity with databases.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • Strong self-motivational skills.
  • Capable of motivating campus partners and donors with a high level of customer service.
  • Demonstrated professionalism.
  • Knowledge of current principles and techniques relevant to donor-centric fundraising.

Physical requirements

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
