General summary
Oversees marketing budget and operations related to Miller Auditorium.
Major duties
- Creates and executes all marketing efforts for Miller Auditorium and its shows.
- Collaborates with third party consultants to create media designs.
- Coordinates with University partners on season and single campaigns.
- Oversees and manages annual marketing budget in collaboration with other University offices.
- Establishes relationships with area and national media representatives to ensure coverage of auditorium events.
- Assists with public relations, fundraising, sponsorship, grants and sales efforts.
- Collaborates with the ticket office on computerized ticketing system to extract and interpret data to better plan sales and marketing efforts.
- Hires, trains, evaluates, and supervises staff and student employees.
Minimum qualifications

Required education
- Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution.
Required experience
- Five years' relevant experience.
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in creating and executing marketing plans.
- Budgetary Experience, Experience with web content, social media and grassroots marketing.
- Experience interpreting data that contributes to advanced decision making.
- Demonstrated experience of earning revenue.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, inclusion and equity.
- Enthusiastic supporter of the arts.
Physical requirements
Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.
Working conditions
Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
