General summary
Writes and edits copy for a variety of projects including print, web, mobile, video and social media. Works closely with marketing and design teams to brainstorm ideas, create concepts, and develop messaging.
Major duties
- Researches target audiences through online searches, reviews of existing research, interviews with subject matter experts, and in-person meetings.
- Writes creative copy that connects with the desired audience and drive action.
- Collaborates with creative staff from concept development to delivery of final product.
- Interprets and writes creative briefs that vary in voice, style and other characteristics to develop and produce creative concepts through execution.
- Comfortably varies voice, style and other characteristics demanded by the target audience and media channel.
Minimum qualifications
Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.
Required education
- Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution.
Required experience
- Five years' relevant experience
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to think both analytically and creatively, and from the perspective of the target audience.
Physical requirements
Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds. 
Working conditions
Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
