Peer Student Success Team
The 2024-2025 PSST Mentors
PSST is a mentorship program designed to provide an academic and social support system for incoming first year students, transfer students, international students, and prospective students who are joining the Lee Honors College.
Their roles include:
- Facilitating one-on-one meetings with mentees during the fall and spring semesters.
- Communicating via e-mail on a weekly basis with mentees regarding honors college requirements, events, opportunities, and self-care strategies.
- Attending, coordinating, and facilitating honors college events, programs, and/or community service opportunities for mentees (in-person or online).
- Meeting with prospective honors students and/or attending honors college recruitment events.

Hi! In my free time, I love painting, bouldering, playing tennis, and spending time with my friends and family. This past summer I went to two national parks, and I plan to go to another, in October, over fall break! Over the past four years, being in the honors college has positively impacted my life, helping me identify my career goals, and presenting many opportunities to learn and grow. I am excited for another great year.

Hello everyone! This is my third year as a student mentor for the Lee Honors College. Apart from the LHC, I鈥檓 involved with the 澳门六合彩官网直播 Chemistry Club, Western Student Association, and evolutionary genomics research for the Thompson Lab. I鈥檓 interested in becoming a genetic counselor to study and treat genetic diseases. In my free time, I enjoy baking, running, and hanging out with friends.

Hi! This is my second year as a PSST mentor. In my free time, I love to read, work out, and spend time with friends and family. Being in the honors college has positively impacted me by providing many engaging opportunities to be a part of the community through volunteering, academic programs, and other amazing activities. The Honors College has become a home away from home, and I hope it becomes one for you too!

Hey everyone! This is my second year with the Lee Honors College. I am currently the president of the WM Elite dance team, and I also teach young dancers back home. In addition to being a PSST Mentor, I work in the garden center at Lowe鈥檚, and I enjoy reading and going to the gym. I love spending time with my girlfriend, my sister, and my cat and I鈥檓 so excited for this school year!

Hi everyone. :) I am originally from Ukraine, and I came to the US in 2021. Now I live in Traverse City, MI with my host family! In my free time I like to do anything outdoors, including biking, hiking, playing tennis, volleyball, skiing, swimming, wake surfing and so much more! I also love trying new things and hanging out with my friends. I am a part of Tennis Club, SWE (Society of Women in Engineering and Women in STEM clubs) I am looking forward to meeting new people this year, making unforgettable memories and enjoying another year at Western.

Hello! I鈥檓 Ivane and my desire is to become a licensed CPA and focus on the auditing side of public accounting. I have a few hobbies, but my main one is to play basketball, go to the gym and read books. I am from the capital city called Tbilisi in the country of Georgia. Coming to the US has been a dream of mine and I feel so blessed to have an amazing opportunity like this. I have been part of the Lee Honors College for over two years. This organization has given me countless opportunities to learn and explore many areas of study that I am interested in.

Hi everyone! My hobbies range from video games to walking in nature and many things in between. Many of my favorites come from the 80s like music, movies, etc. I played soccer since I was a kid and while I do not play as much anymore, I certainly love watching it! Additionally, one of the defining parts of my identity is that I am a Christian. I do not know what I want to do in the future, although I hope to spark some interest through the classes I take at Western. I am very excited to be a PSST mentor and to help my mentees become familiar with the amazing LHC community!

Hi! My name is Jen, and I am from Washington State and my goal is to become a commercial pilot at Delta, United, or Alaska. I love listening to music and playing guitar, piano, and tennis. Being in the Lee Honors College has been awesome since everyone is always so supportive and welcoming, it's a place where I feel comfortable to ask for help. I'm passionate about cybersecurity, and one of my career goals is to work as an ethical hacker or penetration tester. I've made friends with people who share my interests during my time at the Lee Honors College. I'm thrilled to serve as a PSST mentor and assist new students in finding their place in our diverse community. Hi all! Some facts about me are: I'm the youngest of five siblings and a first-generation college student. I currently serve as the Director of Allocations for Western's Student Government and am also a bartender. I plan on pursuing a JD-MBA post-grad. The reason I became a PSST mentor is to make a difference, my mentor was super helpful, kind, and welcoming, and I hope to be the same. In my free time, I love to lift, watch F1, cook, and run with my dog Rainy.
