Dobek Received Fulbright Award
Peter Dobek, doctoral candidate in the Department of History at 澳门六合彩官网直播, received a Fulbright Award to conduct research in Cracow, Poland during the 2015-16 academic year.
While in Cracow, Peter was affiliated with the faculty of History at the Jagiellonian University鈥攖he oldest university in Poland and the second oldest university in Central Europe.
Peter鈥檚 dissertation examines public houses鈥攊nns, taverns, alehouses鈥攄uring the Jagiellonian Dynasty (1385-1572) in the city of Cracow and its immediate surroundings, as important nodes of society, politics, economics, gender relations and culture. His project draws on manuscript sources in the archives and libraries in Cracow, including the National Archives.
